Dr. Daniel Watson
D.V.M., Medical Director
Dr. Daniel Watson, alongside his wife Dr. Winterowd, founded College Station Cat Clinic in 2003 with a mission to provide exceptional, feline-focused care. With extensive experience in emergency clinics, full-service animal hospitals, humane societies, and even a zoo, Dr. Watson brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his practice. A dedicated advocate for feline health, Dr. Watson has pursued advanced training in feline ultrasound, medicine, dentistry, and surgery, with a particular passion for dentistry that has shaped much of his career.
Dr. Watson earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, following undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Michigan and Veterinary Science at the University of Illinois.
Beyond the clinic, he has contributed to the veterinary community through published articles in the Sun-Times Chicago Vets on Pets column and remains an active member of professional organizations, including the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Feline Health Center, the Veterinary Information Network, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Known for his exceptional ability to connect with cats, Dr. Watson has earned a well-deserved reputation among both colleagues and clients for compassionate, skilled, and thoughtful feline care.
Dr. Jennifer Marzec
D.V.M.
A devoted advocate for feline health, Dr. Marzec discovered early in veterinary school that cats often weren’t receiving the specialized attention they deserve. Recognizing her natural connection with cats, she has worked exclusively with feline patients since graduating. Prior to joining College Station Cat Clinic, she practiced at two feline-only clinics in Chicago.
Dr. Marzec served as vice president of the student chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include internal medicine, feline behavior, nutrition, and preventative care. She strongly believes in client education, working closely with pet owners to provide the best possible care for her patients.
At home in Naperville, she shares her life with her husband, two children, and three cats: Jones, Penny, and Pinx the Sphynx.
Dr. Tracy Winterowd
D.V.M.
Dr. Winterowd co-founded College Station Cat Clinic with her husband, Dr. Watson, in 2003. She began her career in small animal practice, developing a particular focus and special interest in her feline patients.
She earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois, where she was honored with the Small Animal Medicine Award. Dr. Winterowd has pursued advanced coursework in feline ultrasound, medicine, and surgery. She is an active member of several veterinary organizations, including the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Winterowd and Dr. Watson have two children and share their home with three adopted shelter cats: George, Chuck, and Bug.
Dr. Nicholas Roman
D.V.M.
Dr. Roman is the newest member of College Station Cat Clinic, joining the team in early 2024. Since graduating from veterinary school, he has focused exclusively on feline care.
He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received the Gentle Doctor Award during his clinical rotations. Dr. Roman also holds two graduate degrees: a Master of Public Health and a Master of Arts in English Literature. He is an active member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Roman shares his home with his beloved tortoiseshell-tabby, Hazel.
